Michael Taylor

There are worse places in the world than Lake Como in northern Italy. Taylor has based himself in Europe since 2006 after a successful career in Australian motoring journalism. He was motoring editor of The Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph newspapers in Sydney and edited both 4X4 Australia and MOTOR magazines in their prime. He was also the architect of the Best Car award for Australia’s combined motoring clubs and drove in races and rallies. Apart from Race News, he writes for Forbes, The Irish Times, Carsales.com.au, Business Day in South Africa, and Autologia in Mexico and Chile. His first love is rallying and he is a judge for both the World Car of the Year and the International Engine of the Year awards.
