DOWNSHIFTING: Glenn Seton

Nicknamed 'The Baby-Faced Assassin' at the peak of his touring car career, Seto still has a giant smile as he helps his son Aaron – and a bunch of others – at racetracks around the country.

1. What makes you laugh?

Humour. Good humour. I loved Paul Hogan's stuff and he was one of my favourites when I was a young guy.

2. What’s on your playlist?

Coldplay. I love coldplay. I also l9ve the Chisels, Aussie Crawl, Hoodoo Gurus, all that '80s stuff. That's my style.

3. What was the last movie you saw?

The Bob Dylan one (A Complete Unknown), but I didn’t find it very good. The best one in that style of that thing was Bohemian Rhapsody, because the actor was so good as Freddie Mercury.

4. One road, one car, one passenger?

Bathurst. With my ’97 championship winning Falcon, because I have a lot of fond memories and enjoyed racing it. With my dad (Bo) alongside.

5. Your dream car - to park and admire?

I would say a Ferrari. I love their curves and their shape. They’ve got so much style about them.

6. Your greatest motorsport success?

Winning the 1993 and 1997 touring car championships. Having a childhood in motorsport, around my dad, I was destined to want to be a professional racing driver and then strive for the best I could do. To come away with owning my own race team, engineering my own cars, and winning championships, was extremely rewarding.

7. Your greatest failure?

1995. Bathurst. Engine failure nine laps from the end.

8. Your one regret?

From a business point of view, I didn’t delegate enough at the end of my race team era in the early 2000s, so I could just drive and others to do the work in the business.

9. What is your guilty pleasure?

Ice cream. I eat a lot of Cornettos. They are my favourite. And Bubble O'Bills, with the three coloured stripes of ice cream.

10. Which actor would play you in the movie of your life?

 Nobody comes to mind.
