DOWNSHIFTING: Scott Pye

A win in the Sandown 500 and third in the big one at Bathurst gave Scott Pye easily his best season in Supercars in 2024. He is already pumped for another big year with The Bulls in addition to his work on the Apex Hunters United podcast.

1. What makes you laugh?

Replying to ignorant comments online when I'm bored

2. What’s on your playlist?

It really depends on my mood, but mostly hip-hop and R&B.

3. What was the last movie you saw?

Better Man – the Robbie Williams Biopic.

4. One road, one car, one passenger?

Any road, a mid-60’s Mini Cooper S, my Dad. 

5. Your dream car - to park and admire?

I use everything I own so it would have to be a daily too. It’s a looong process, but I am building a 1956 Ford F100 that I hope to have finished one day.

6. Your greatest motorsport success?

Not f***ing up Will Brown’s championship. Ha-ha. But seriously, probably my first win in Supercars.

7. Your greatest failure?

I missed an apex at the Barossa kart track in 1997. That was the last mistake I can think of.

8. Your one regret?

Going to Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport in 2013.

9. What is your guilty pleasure?

Party mix from the Natural Confectionary Company.

10. Which actor would play you in the movie of your life?

Gerard Butler.
