HOT SHOTS: Road racer.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of a one-off, road ready 917, Porsche has done a similar job on its latest 963 Le Man racer.

Lights, mirrors, turn signals and a leather-wrapped cabin were all added before it headed to Le Mans – not to race – in company with the historic 917 built for Italian aristocrat Count Gregorio Rossi di Montelera in 1975.

There is only one problem with the 495-kiloWatt hybrid V8-powered 963 RSP – it only has a single seat.
