Alice on top. TransAm racer Alice Buckley made a small piece of history when she took pole position and twin wins in the Muscle Car Series at Queensland Raceway. Her extraordinary effort in TA2 racing comes after the 17-year-old won backing from Chevrolet to push towards Supercars.

P2 is still P1. Lando Norris swept every step of the Austrian Grand Prix to bounce back from his disastrous crash in Canada, but he was still only 2.5 seconds ahead of Oscar Piastri at the final flag. So the McLaren team mates to continue to dominate the Formula One standings, although Piastri's advantage is reduced slightly to 15 points.

Again and again. Unbeatable Marc Marquez did it again at Assen in Holland, winning both the Sprint and MotoGP races for Ducati. For once it was Marco Bezzecchi from Aprilia who finished second, not his brother Alex, although the Marquez brothers still dominate the points with 308 and 239 respectively.

Toyota loses in Greece. Ott Tanak finally got Hyundai back to the top of the podium at the Acropolis Rally in nearly 10 months, despite a last-stage gearbox drama. Elfyn Evans still leads the title standings for Toyota but his margin has been reduced after he only finished fourth, more than three minutes behind Tanak.

Wharton wins. Aussie youngster James Wharton scored his first FIA Formula 3 win in Austria. The 17-year-old took advantage of a reverse-grid start to lead from start to finish in only his seventh F3 race.

Another tough one for SvG. Despite running solidly in the Top 10 during the NASCAR race at Atlanta, Shane van Gisbergen was taken out towards the end and only recorded a 24th place finish. "It was definitely a great run there at the start, getting points in both stages. It was fun being competitive," he said.

Gill solid in Greece. Second place in the Acropolis Rally, after winning the first two legs of the FIA Junior WRC, gives Taylor Gill the advantage heading to the penultimate leg of the series in Finland. "Not an easy weekend! We did much more conserving than proper rally driving but that’s the way it is in Greece," he said.

Out early. Porsche factory driver Matt Campbell was one of the early retirements from the GT3 contest in the Spa 24-Hour. The car he shared with Bastian Buus and
Mathieu Jaminet was out after just 60 laps as Lamborghini scored its first win in the classic thanks to Mirko Bortolotti, Jordan Pepper and Luca Engstler.
