Bulls still on top. After 16 races in the new-look Supercars championship it is the Red Bull Racing drivers, Broc Feeney and Will Brown, who hold the top spots as the battle intensifies for the critical Top 10 places at the end of the Sprint series. Ryan Wood sits 10th after his breakthrough win at Wanneroo and the seven splitting the top and bottom are Matt Payne in 3rd, then Cam Waters, Chaz Mostert, Thomas Randle, Brodie Kostecki, Cam Hill and Andrew Heimgartner.

Toyota speedy at Le Mans. The pre-race test day for the 2025 running of the Le Mans 24-Hours produced a fairly predictable result, as the Toyota of Brendon Hartley ended the day fastest with a lap of 3 minutes 26.246secs. But it was close at the top with defending champion James Calado clocking 3:26.777 in a Ferrari 499P and a second Ferrari driven by Robert Kubica setting the third-fastest time of 3:26.902.

Marquez totally dominant. For the first time in MotoGP since 2015, title leader Marc Marquez topped every session in a grand prix weekend to clinch a dominant seventh victory at MotorLand in Spain. Once again, the runner-up spot was taken by his brother Alex and Francesco Bagnaia finished third.

Old man wins in WRC. He might be 41 and only competing in selected events, but Seb Ogier did it again at Rally Italia Sardegna, taking his fifth win on the event despite his veteran status. The Frenchman in his GR Yaris Rally1 car beat home a surging Ott Tanak from Hyundai and was comfortably clear of his Toyota GR team mates, although Elfyn Evans continues to lead the title standings.

Big speeds at Winternats. Damien Harris re-set the speed record at 536.17 km/h in Top Fuel at the Winternationals as Morice McMillin also lifted the Funny Car speed record to 524.15. The Queensland event saw 13 three-second passes and seven at more than 500 km/h as Wayne Newby claimed the Top Fuel crown and McMillin did the job in Funny Car.

Aussies star in Baja. Toby Price and Paul Weel finished less than a minute behind the winners as they thundered to second place in the Baja 500 desert race in Mexico. "One hell of a race today, we gave it everything we had. The level is so high running up the front, the slightest mistake can cost you that top step," said Weel.

More punch for Adelaide. The Supercars grand final has received a new boost as it will also host the final round of the Australian Supercross championship The dirt-track shoot-out joins another one-off sprintcar weekend on the undercard in Adelaide.

Molly with hydrogen power. Former Extreme E champion Molly Taylor has had her first-hit out with the new hydrogen-fuelled contender for the off-road series. She drove the new Pioneer 25 at in Fontjoncouse, in the south of France, as the series prepares to return in the second half of 2025.

Top 20 for SvG. The Firekeepers 400 at Michigan International Speedway saw Shane van Gisbergen running home a solid 18th behind the winner Denny Hamlin. "Decent weekend with another Top 20. Wild track, average speed on the qualifying lap was 312 km/h," said van Gisbergen.
